#48643, "just to be different,"

i've decided to use an exhaust setup that i haven't seen anyone else here use. once the ERT downpipe comes out, i'll get that bad larry and modify the section near where it bolts to the cat to accept a 2.5" electronically controlled cutout. this way at the track i'll be able to run open exhaust on the days that permit it without having to swap stuff out. after that i'll find a 2.5" high flow cat, and a GS-T cat-back. those are 2.5", right? my question... has anyone ever done this before? i want to have a switch that opens the cutout when i get over a certian boost level, maybe something like 10 psi or whatever GS-T's run stock through their exhaust. i already bought the MAP sensor that corbin uses for his "fooling the AFC" mod, and i'll be using that for a lot of things. i really want to use the GS-T cat back, that's the whole point of this setup because i want to have exhaust that's as quiet as possible. i'm sick of the loud crap that i currently have. i know i might sound like a LS1 hooligan talking about cutout and such, but it does sound like a good idea. i'll be able to still pass inspection with flying colors here in massachusetts with a 2.5" high flow cat, right?

Stock GS-T exhaust is 2" ID just like us, only real difference is the muffler, and I believe a different resonator...

If you want 2.5" cat-back, find a big resonator and pick a muffler that will keep it quiet.
