The SFMU is an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. The regular FMU that comes with the star kit just raises fuel pressure in relation to boost, the SFMU also allowes you to adjust idle pressure.

Not necessarily. If you had a need to adjust your static pressure, you might get one of these although I'm sure there's another FMU that will perform the task for cheaper. Since you're not turbo, you wouldn't use the rising rate FPR part of it.

S-AFC intercepts and adjusts the MAP signal to the proportion you set before it allows the ECU to receive the signal. Thus tricking your ECU into seeing false loads and adjusting the fuel maps accordingly.
The SFMU actually adjusts fuel pressures.

When you come back to Jersey I'll show you how it works and hooked up, but no you don't need one. Wish I had the SAFC though.

ok..... do we use the same FPR as a neon??????? cause i have herd from numerous neon owners that increasing fuel pressure 10 psi helps alot when staying NA and having lots of mods....

Neon's come with 19 lb injectors stock, we have 24 lb injectors so we already have more fuel and run a little richer. If you have a LOT of mods, you may need some more fuel pressure but I ran my car with full bolt on's and a set of regrind drag cams and was not maxing out the injectors at stock fuel pressure.

Can't comment on the Neons, but we have 235 cc/min injectors (~22.4 lb/hr). We run pretty rich stock, so there's probably little need to up the fuel pressure until you get some major mods.
