#48427, "Where to get EGT probe from???"

My Auto Meter EGT probe crapped out on me yesterday. I think I bought that on directly from Auto Meter for ~50.00. I don’t really want to buy another (Auto Meter) one because it broke. I remember seeing that a bunch of you guys had a different brand of probe and that it wasn’t too expensive. Does anyone have a link to a place that sells probes that would work w/ my EGT gauge?

TIA
Brian

Email autometer and tell them your probe failed with very low mileage, or that you broke it during installation or something. They sent me a whole new probe for free when I broke the connector that you tap into the manifold.

Got mine form Westach

http://www.frostalarm.com/cat/p33.html

It's the bottom left corner, part number 712-3D4-48K. They are probably gonna give you a remodeled version, can't remember the exact part number. But just tell them that you need the part number I stated and they'll give you the correct version, that's what happened to me.

But the teamrip one has a nice quick disconnect so when the probe burns out, you buy another one and don't have to re wire everything. So buy a few feet of the EGT wire and the probe and your set.
