#48395, "test pipe install afterwards.... honduh buzzzzzz"

ya, so my exhaust consistsed of a pacesetter catback, i swapped the resonater w/a cherry bomob glasspack... and a straight thru mufler (5zigen)...

i just removed the catalytic convertor (cat) and put a 2.5" test pipe in its place...

1st observation, shit is rich.... black smoke, etc... at WOT...
1.2 on the a/f guage.. at WOT in 3,4 gears...

i threw a cel after the first startup...

second, shit sounds like a honduh... i got the buzz back...

i had the buzz before i put in the glasspack, after i installed the straightthru muff on the pacesetter, the pacesetter resonator wasnt' sufficeint...

anyways, she sounds like ahondu again..

shud i weld in a small resonator between the straight pipe flanges????

also... i need a link tot he resistor mod for gettin the CEL to turn off for rear02 sensor....

anuther ? is that the exhaust hangers, for the cat, aren't being used any more.... shud i rig a new hanger? or is it OK??

thanks!

o ya, she pulls harder top of 2nd, third, and 4th...
and i dont have header/downpipe mods... all stock there..
payce

Well the cat acts as a resonator too, so you are going to hear more noise. Personally I would try to fabricate some sort of hanger. The downpipe only has one right below the exhaust mani, so thats quite a bit of pipe just hanging there. I mean you should be able to tell if the piping is sagging at all. If it sags in the least little bit I would get a hanger.

Sorry, can't help you with the other stuff.
