#48204, "Where can i get an oil adapter sandwich?"

I want to run two lines to an oil cooler and i need to get the sandwich which goes between the block and oil filter. Problem is that i have no clue which one to get for our 420a or where to get it.

Anyone have any tips? I need to know what type of thread our 420a has for our oil filters.

Thanks

idk if this's what you're talking about... they don't really say if it fits all models either. might just be a 4g63 thing.

perma cool makes a kit just for our car I would check with dem first, but I know of places you can buy just the sandwich adapter. The V6 one does fit but the the adapter nut doesn't fit so you gotta get one that does.

The places that carry this kinda stuff are speed shops though, so find a speed shop in your area and check it out. I know two shops around me that have the goodies, they sell fitting for oil coolers too.

what you want are:
oil cooler core
oil lines
fitting to attach the hoses like barbed ones
oil filter sandwich adapter
adapter nut (holds the sandwich adapter to engine)

if you want a cheap core check out your local junkyards you can gets lotsa oil cooler cores and for cheap too. There this one I wanna put on my Z it's a 1st gen RX7 oil cooler core it looks like an intercooler that's really short but long. good quality too, another car to look for cores are saabs they have good stuff.

I think if you got the B&M supercooler kit like mine you can get the chrysler one (like chrysler muscle cars emoji) and it'll have a buncha different adapters and one might fit. But I've only heard this. The core of the B&M is pretty touch like no pebble can mess it up emoji

doesn't fit very well on a 95 bumper emoji

well when i was surfing through moparonline i saw that they had one for the dodge neon. I would think that it would go on no prob. only thing is the site was being redesigned, maybe its up now. try it.

Yup, threading is the same as the Neon. same block, same filter, you get the picture.

Hey Hades,

You got the exact setup that I want to have hehehe

Did you relocate your oil filter?

What did you use to mount securely your oil cooler?

Only thing that i would do different than the setup you have pictured above is that i want to use NPT or AN fittings, not hose barbs. I dont trust my oil on rubber/hose barb fittings =(

Thanks

I'd actually like to see how your routed your hosing. There's not a lot of "safe" routes through there in lieu of belts, and exhaust piping when you get somewhat close to the oil filter.
