I just had this problem a couple weeks ago. I checked the fuse, bulbs, linkage & nothing . It ended up being that reverse light switch on top of the tranny, made sure by jumpering across the two leads. That thing cost me $54 at Satan , what a ripoff.

ya but how often are you gonna remember to turn it on? i replaced mine. got ripped off more than anyone else on the board i think. $74 from satan. check autozone an stuff. should be about $20-30 or so. i'm prolly gonna do the switch thing eventually so i can flash my reverse lights when i feel like it but i wouldn't recommend not having the regular sensor hooked up. the whole point of reverse lights is to let people know your car is moving backwards so they don't hit you. and yea help you see behind you somewhat too...
