right now i have a MSD in my 96 420A but im buying a 97 420A soon and have to either get a new coil pack or rewire my old one with a old plug. im going to get a new one and sell my old one. Now my Q is what is better should i go with a Screaming Demon or the MSD coil Pack. Also what should i gap my Plugs. I also have 10mm Magnacore wires too.

I think I gap my plugs to .050 not 100% sure. Whatis the "Sreaming Demon" coilpack. Do you have a link. I don't know, but sreaming and demons sound pretty good to me. To bad they don't make a ShitStomping FirePissing coilpack. Hell I'd pay $30 for one of those.

the screamin demon is by howell......only reason really to get either MSD or the SD would be if the stock coil is bad...other than that....don't bother..

The screaming demom looks like the OE coilpack, but with brass connectors and a sticker. I'm not saying thats what it is though. Well the MSD looks better,(if thats your thing) but from the info Howell gave which is very little on the MSD, I'd get the Screaming Demon. They need to throw in some wires with it and call it the Squeeling Pig package.

But are you implying it?

The stock coil and the MSD coil put out 36,000 volts of secondary voltage, the Screemin Demon puts out 40,000 volts of secondard voltage. That is why the manufacturer recommends openning up the plug gap, then spark will jump through more of the air fuel mix, getting a better light.

Do you need it no, we don't need any hot rod parts the cars run and get us to work from the factory, but sometimes we want things that help us make power.
