I have a question I hooked my scanner up from work to check to see what gave me a CEL. It says misfire in cyl 4 changed plugs, wires and checked compression all of them were good checked resistance on coilpack it was around 14,000 from (1,4) (2,3) could some one give me a reading from there stock coil, Professional haynes shop manual says 11,500-13,500 is anyone getting these readings from there stock coil.

i know a guy on here who checked his resistance and it was within specs, but the coil pack was still shot. for your prob check (and/or change) your plugs, wires, and coil pack if the 1st 2 dont solve the prob. he changed everything but the coil and didnt solve it...so try that...iv helped alot of people with this prob

Ignition coil- remove the three pin connector from the side of the coil pack and test the primary coil resistance. Do this by connecting the center pin to one of the other two pins(do it for both outside pins). Resistance should read .45-.65 ohms. Secondary coil pack resistance can be tested by connecting sparkplug wire towers 1 and 4 together and 2 and 3 together(#’s are on the coil pack). Resistance should read 12K-14K ohms
