Uhm....I don't know much about automatics (which I'm assuming you are) but my car will hit 130+ with my CAI and showed no change from the stock tube as to top speed. I'm manual by the way.

Dont turn overdrive on until you are at the top of 3rd gear...otherwise the car won't allow you to go any higher...

Better yet: Don't go that fast. US Roads were not designed with 100+ MPH traffic in mind. Don't do something stupid to ruin your life, or somebody else's life.

The auto tranny stock tops out at about 120mph with OD off. If you leave OD on you wont get past 100Mph. leave OD off and run it till its just about to redline 3rd gear and click it on youll be able to cruise if you so desire to at 120Mph at about 4000-4500 RPM. However there just isnt enough power to push the OD gear much past that point.

i duno why you guys keep on insisting your cars are hitting 130+ with freakin intakes....NO emoji ......while on the way home to MD up 95 2 weeks ago i ran my car up....topped out just under 130...and i have MANY more mods than intake......granted my gf was in the car and it was kinda loaded with luggage...but still...over 130 isn't gonna happen without a substantail power increase....the power just isn't enough to break the drag barrier...

here are my mods-
-greddy header
-CAI
-55mm TB
-UDP
-crane nitrous cams
-fidanza cam gears

I hit 125 on the highway and still had something left. I think that 130 is possible in a manual, but I dunno about an automatic.

And there shouldn't be any relation to your CAI install and your top speed. Maybe you were driving into a wind? emoji

I think the manual should be able to do about 130 to 135 but I know for a fact that it takes major power mods or tranny mods to get the auto to break the 120 mark. The stock gearing just cant get the car past that point on the auto. However with 5 gears to go through and the fact that I have gotten mine to 120 at 4500 RPM with OD on I think the manual should be able to reach the above speeds.

The last car I had (a civi emoji) I installed an intake (Not AEM) and about 80 mph the car started to shake like crazy. The intake definatly help the low end but the high end sucked with the intake on.

I have taken my 95 AT up to 190-200 km/hr (not shure what that works out to in miles with a bone stock motor, mind you it took a while to get up there.

Getting my car from 125 - 135 mph took a mile or so.

I stopped at 135 because I was coming up on traffic.

Hmmm....Well, I don't know what to tell you, but I've seen over 130....sorry. Now did I have another 20-30 mph available? No way, I was pushin it hard to get it there.

Maybe your problem is you're not using your gears well enough, cuz when I did it I started at 60mph and ran my gears out as far as they would go. If you were trying to get to 130 in 5th gear you won't do it.

my 2 cents.. if your car is running properly and taken care of then you shouldnt have any problem getting over 130. intake, exhaust, and springs, got got a little under 135. i still felt more in it also. just stopped cause i saw some cars ahead. now i have more mods. this is also just for 5speed. i dont know if it would apply to autos though.

intake, 2.5 exhaust w/gst muffler, pacesetter header, msd wires, ngk plugs, port and polish throttlebody, front and rear strut bars, 1.5' tenzo springs, 17" primax rims, kuhmo tires, leather interior, gsx sideskirts, BM shortshifter, GM fluid in trans...

Have to agree with you there, that is why we have racetracks, so kids with semi fast cars dont' freakin kill each themselves and others. But most don't listen so you just have to stay out of their way and be pissed when they have a wreck and kill them selves and my insurance goes up because of it since they are no longer alive to pay their higher premiums for being idiots.

um I am at and have hit 115 in 3rd. I never clicked it to go into 4th but I am sure I would have been able to come close to 130 The car was still ready to pull hard. I wish I had now, so I could be definet. Yes I have the stock gearing and I have never posted bs or intend to. I bet I could hit 130 But barely. My tranny will go past redline though, and most At wont. It is wierd that fast, u feel like u arent moving but everything is whipping by u. I was racing a 1g.
