I need to replace my motormounts , where can I get them , is it hard to replace them??? has anyone done this before , where can I get some urethane motor mounts , or originals , and what;s the diference??

why not have them rebuilt. i had 3 of them rebuilt for $52 they are not as stiff as the urethane ones, yet still not as soft as the stock.
all popping sounds and wheel hop went away.

I recommend polyurethane, as do lots of the people on this board.

They are only about $20 (includes shipping).

Can someone give him the link to the online store that sells the energy suspension motor mount inserts for dsm's, I forgot where I got them :o.

I know this might sound ghetto but why not just do the polyurathane cocking thing. I did, it worked great. Got rid of wheel hop and gave me a tiny bit more torque. Cocking gun, a $3.00 tube of polyurathane cocking and a throw away spatulua. Jack the car up and put a second jack under the engine to support the engine when you take the mounts off. Do the mounts one at a time of course. squirt the cocking into the recesses and use the spatula to spread it around. Put in a little or alot depending on how stiff you want it. Let it sit overnight before driving it or it will melt all over the place (I made this mistake). The next morning it should be set pretty well and in a few days it will be totally hardended.

That is a great way to fix old worn out rubber mounts. I know people that have filled the mount and then inserted the ES or Prothane poly mounts. They wiped away the extra and let it sit a couple days.

This should be good for 10 years.

I'm sorry. I just don't want you to go into any more hardware stores asking the salespeople where the "cocking" supplies are.

They are "better", but they are only for full race setup. Waaay more vibrations make them un-practical for a daily driver.

Get the Energy Suspension for daily drive usage, I love them.

can someoune that has done the caulking give me a step by step with all the deatails on how to do it , im thinking in doing the "caulking " and the ES inserts , so I need to know what materials and tools do I need for the "caulking " and how to do it?

Step by step on CAULKING (I know, I know, my spelling sucks). Buy a tube of poly caulking and a caulking gun from any hardware store(doesn't cost much). Either put your car up on jack stands or up on ramps (ramps are easier). With a hydrolic jack lift your engine up just enough so that its not really being supported by the engine mounts. Do the engine mounts one at a time repeating this process. Remove the engine mount. squeze in the caulking until the recess is totally full. Take a crappy throw away spatula or something similar and spread it around evenly like its cake frosting. Put it back in the car and move on to the next one. DO NOT drive the car until you let it sit over night (all the poly will ooze out). The next morning it will be ok to drive and in a couple of days it will be fully hardend.
