#46770, "How much are tensioners? $150-$450?"

Im adding an AFX UDP, and I just bought all gator belts for the timing belt, ac/ps belt, and alt. belt, and my friend who is gonna help me install all this says I should also change my tensioner. Well I went up to Carmax (satans sister) and they qouted me $450 for a tensioner, I was like yea right, I thought it was like around $67 (searched on 2gnt and found out Bob Kise could get it for like $67) so then I called up satan and they said $150. So whats going on? Am I telling them the right thing that I need? Do I even really have to change the tensioner? I just wantted to change my belts since they sqeak and add the udp, but he said since im down there might as well change the tensioner too.

Normal price at a Dodge dealership will be between 100-150 bucks. Get it from Bob if the price is that good.

Yes guys, Bob Kise's prices are THAT good!

He's out of Forum Dodge in Michigan, give 'em a call at (810) 714-3300. Mention you are with 2GNT and you get a bigger discount of his lower prices. I call him for any Diamler-Chrysler part. Best prices I've found.

Listen brothers Bob is the MAN to call for parts. I got everything I still needed for the rebuilds. HG (gasket only), Upper gasket set, 2 97+ fuel rails, 2 pulleys for timing belt, 1 tensioner, Total 398.72. Brad I think the upper gasket set was either $87 or $90 but I'm not sure. Not only good deals but a really cool guy, he called me the other day and got my voicemail (which is a joke where I use an accent) and he left a funny message in the same voice, very cool guy, very helpful. Also see this link for the prices Dave got on his t-belt stuff. http://forums.2gnt.com/dcboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=4&topic_id=34155&mesg_id=34155&listing_type=search
