Here ya go. Took about 2.5 hours to go from putting in the crank, to finished bottom end. Enjoy emoji

Upper bearings are in, and so is the crankshaft

Block to bedplate sealant is applied

Lower bearings along with the bedplate is torqued down to specs

Pic of second piston ready to be tapped into the cylinder

Three pistons are installed

Pic of assembled bottom end/rod caps

And here it is, the final product. JE 8.8:1 pistons, JE rings, Mopar Main and Rod bearings, and Ealge rods w/ ARP rod cap bolts.

I'm getting there! Cant wait to finish this project and run some more boost emoji The entire bottom end went together without a hitch. Perfect.

drool... real nice job. i forgot, did you have any machine work done to the block, or did you just hone it? also, how much was it to balance the crank/rods/pistons, if you don't mind my asking. once again, nice job. now go run some 12's emoji

Looks great Matt! I just replied to your e-mail about installing the main bearings... I guess you figured it out though. Great job!

Did you remember to install the little pink o-ring between the block and bedplate? I hope so but if not you better do it now!!!

Yes, the whole block was put through the proper TLC that any rebuilt motor should have. This is what was done: Block was cleaned, Bored over .020, diamond stone honed to fit the final piston to wall diameter, Pistons, rods, and crank were fully balanced, and the crank was polished all nice for new bearings. Total cost was 370 bucks. A place called VT Competiton Racing in Lansing, MI did all the work. Matt_95tgs is right near by, and knew the guys there (this is matt's old block out of his eclipse). VT has a state of the art machining facility, and if you like, you can check out their website: www.vtengines.com Click on the "tour" icon, to see some pics. This place has around 3/4 MILLION dollars in equipment! This place has done a few 420A's, and quite a few 4G63's.
