I know the GS-T mufflers are perfect replacements, but what about GS-X mufflers? I got a really good deal on one. I have the muffler with about 8" of pipe that ends with a flange.

just compare the hangers and see if they look anything like yours...i so then you "might" be able to hack the piping off and weld it to your piping...given that they are in similar spots....but you'd almost be better off just selling the GSX muffler an buying a GST...

I'm pretty sure the muffler itself is the same, just welded to a different route for the piping, So you should be able to hack the piping off a few inches from the muffler and weld it up to your stock piping, hangers should match. Don't take my word for it, sine I'm not sure, take a look under at your muffler and compair.
