Ouch. That SUCKS. What were the symptoms/noises?

try www.car-parts.com and the for sale/wanted section. $500 is about right.

Look for a neon tranny they list for ~400+ vs Eclipse ~600+

You can get a new tranny from:

www.chryslerpartsdirect.com/moparonline.html

I think the sohc neon one was like just under 1k new.

"main shaft bearing"???

Do you mean input shaft or output shaft?

Just curios what exact bearing when.

Damn man. You oughta be able to find em for like 5-600 bucks.

did you go www.car-part.com?

Or you can type "salvage yard" at google.com and there is a place called bull dog finder or something. YOu give them your info and they send it out to other salvage yards and they email you back with a price and all that.

check it out

I'd just goto different local junkyards and see what they have and talk to them, I ended up getting a neon tranny w/ low miles w/ a broken bellhousing for 100 bucks and used my other bellhousing emoji

You know what worries me? My throwout bearing is going too...and I figured I'd just ignore it and fix it when I get the clutch changed...maybe I should rethink it, eh? I wonder how much a new t/o Bearing would cost installed....
