Just started yesterday after ice/rain storm, my TPS voltage is swinging at idle, sometimes its .700vdc sometimes it will go up to 1.000vdc at idle no foot on the gas. You think its just got water in it?? Its making my car surge and Im getting idle surge at a stop.

Do you think I can just remove it and let it dry or should I replace it thinking it might rust out internally, and shouldnt this sensor be sealed???

some fluxuation is normal for these sensors as they get older. Give it time and it'll either fix itself, or die. Mine does it every now and again as well.

That would be fine but its brand new, thanks anyway but I just took it off and went back into the parts dept. and it was covered under the parts 1 year warranty so I got a new one. Problem gone.

I can see little fluxuation like +/- .05vdc but not .2-.3 or more flucuation. any more is just crappy tolerances and shitty parts.
