what do the ignition amps do? anything for power? and are there any ignitions that dont need programing, i have the msd dis2 that i bought but i dont feel liek paying someone to tune it, is there anyhtign that just plugs in?

The DIS-2 and the Crane Hi-6DI^2 both use stock ignition timing, ith the ability to retard timing with modules if needed. But otherwise just wire up and go.

And ignition amp provides a better, stronger spark, the Crane (and I think the MSD) proved a spark for a longer duration than stock at lower rpms (below roughly 3k rpm).
