Anyone know if the howell 2.2 stroker crate motor is worth it. and what is the difference between: core and without core.

They have their +'s and -'s, The longer the stroke the less rpm's the bottom end can safely take. In this case it will be very minimal and being that it's a built motor it should actually take more rpms then your stocker will handle. I would get it, and a core charge is when you don't send them your old motor in exchange for the new one. If you send them another 420a block with all the internals in rebuildable condition they will refund your core charge $$

Talk to Glacius. He's got an avenger, and as far as I know, he's the first person to actually complete the 2.2 swap successfully. He was telling me about it the other night and how great it felt (lots of torque). He has a name on this board, you can find him here, if not, contact me and i'll hook you up with his info.

Nope. Howell is the only one offering it that I know of. I know ARD can get things stroked so you may give them a call. Jody and them are really cool people, and he can work something out for you.

If money is not a problem for you, give Crower a call. They will build you a complete rotating assembly with any stroke you want pretty much and you can choose from billet or solid, etc...
