#4619, "O2 sensor voltages strange...help"

Here's what happens. The O2 sensor voltage is acting very odd. As I press the gas it seems to go up proportionally to the amount of gas I give and it holds very steady(changes less than .010 generally). At idle, it's holding right around .140 and at 50-75% throttle, it's up around 1.1 and holding steady. Until recently, it acted normally (jumping around everywhere under partial throttle and holding very steady around .930 under hi throttle), but now it gives a very steady reading just about all the time.

I have a Star Stage II w/ AFX UDP and AFC. colder plugs, Moroso wires on a '99GS. I think that should cover the parts you might need to know.

Any ideas are appreciated. Thanks!

Matt

Sounds like you're either WAY outta tune (check engine light?) or you need a new o2 sensor.

What's your idle fuel pressure?

The O2 voltage should fluctuate below 80% throttle, then settle down in the lower .93s. Maybe that is just the 4G63s, but that's how they tune.

yes, I do have a CEL, but that came on after this. I figure this is the cause of the CEL, but I'd like to find the cause of this. I just replaced the O2 sensor about a month ago and it's worked fine up to this point. It shouldn't have probs I wouldn't think since it's so new, but it's an idea. Thanks
