#45701, "Oil over the engine"

Lately I have been shooting oil out my dip stick like crazy. I think my mechanic may have put too much in, maybe 6qts. :o. But someone made the comment that deposits in the radiator fluid reservior might be a blow HG. I have seen that before. What are the symptoms of a blow HG? And what's the deal with oil out the dipstick?

I know this is the obvious question, but when the engine is off, where is the oil level on the dip stick?

I have to check that, last time it was all over the dip stick. Maybe in the morning when it has all sat. I am boosting. My Oil Pressure is at idle 15-25psi and goes up to 50psi at WOT. It's a pain cleaning my valve cover, the dp, my hoses, etc right after boosting. Perhaps I'll wait till the next oil change and take it easy till then.

Oil pressure seems a little low at 15 psi, but you turbo guys have more oil lines to run through, so that can drop pressure a little. WOT pressure seems okay, I get between 50 and 60psi at WOT.

Check the condition of the rubber atthe top of your dipstick, possibly just worn out and can't hold... hopefully not the sign of problems.
