I've noticed that when my car is not warmed all the way up, it tries to die. I usually wait about 5~10min before I start driving it in the morning. But when I'm away from home, I usually can't wait for it to warm up. Is this a common problem? Once it warms up, I get no problems, but its the first 5min of driving. Everytime I let go of the gas, my rpm drops too low and tries to die. Like its trying to stall out or something. Any solutions???

Do you have your EGR blocked off? That's supposed to help warm the car up quicker on cold days. Try using the combustion chamber cleaner and clean out your intake manifold and stuff. Don't know if it will work, but can't hurt.

Hey, how do you clean your intake manifold out? I'm guessing that I'm gonna have to take it off. It really sucks, because the damn car is doing everything it can to die/stall... But, once my baby heats up... IT'S ALL GOOD!!! any other solutions???

Well.... I dont know how to fix it, but... my car does the same thing. Like when I leave (the first start-up of the day), I usually wait like a minute then take off. No problems. But the other day I was leaving work (in a big hurry), turned the car on then like 2 seconds later I was on my way. Thats when I noticed that the car was kinda dying or wanted to stall. But a few seconds later it was fine. So.... my guess is.... it just needs to somewhat warm up and get things going, then it will be fine.

you could also use a can of tb cleaner. it's a bit easier than using mopar ccc and it seemed to work just as well.

Just let the car heat up if all possible then ... my car starts up and idles just fine, on really cold does though, when i go to push in on the peddle at first my rpms will drop then start rising. only does it on days that are like 10 out side..

So I guess this is a common problem for all 420A brothers and sisters... I didn't know, because my other cars that I had in the past or my family member's cars didn't seem to do it. But, if you guys figure something out that fixes this problem, let me know~!

You're flooding your spark plugs, because your O2 sensor isn't heating up fast enough to lean things out a bit.

Your O2 sensor is either dead, or your spark plugs are fouled.

I'd try new spark plugs first, since they're a lot cheaper.

^^^^^^ always make sure that your plugs are good first, when you have running issues. it's the cheapest place to start, and semi-bad plugs can really effect an idle. especially when cold.
