i had to fake my turbo DP gasket from HRC because they messed up on shipping. i found 2 gaskets lying around (the ones that came for my testpipe) and kind of put them on like this:
yeah, the picture SUCKS. took me 3 minutes in mspaint, but you get the idea. believe it or not, it doesn't leak at all. just looks kinda weird from the outside because it's thicker than the HRC gasket and there's stuff sticking out. works well though.

You can use 2.5" header collector gaskets. You can get them in several materials. So far, the best I've found is pressed copper. But, after awhile that degrades too. I'm looking for a stainless steel one now.

Mr. Gasket makes the copper ones. Advance Auto should be able to order them. I'm considering cutting up a piece of scrap stainless and trying to make it seal. The nitrile celulose oil drain gasket sounds good. It doesn't take much to seal that connection. I'm using a paper type gasket there (from a mitsu rebuild kit).
