I was getting gas the other day and noticed my gas cap hissing when I opened it. For the 2 yrs I had the car it never did that. I get a CEL 32 and from reading old post. I figured my roll over valve was busted. Does anybody have any idea why its doing this now emoji

were you almost out of gas? usually when your gas tank gets low and there is a lot of emptyspace in your tank, the gas will evaporate. when you open the cap, you are venting the vapors out of the tank, creating the hissing sound.

I always fill up when I'm almost out of gas, and it never did it before. I'll wait and see what happens next fill up, which will be awhile because I don't drive a lot now, damn gas prices.

mine does the same thing its no biggie. Then again I've always gotten 300 MPtank and I heard people getting like 400! Hmm... but I'm sure it's nothing. If you really paranoid, buy a new cap and try it and if it hisses when you fuel up again then I wouldn't worry. Lemme know haha....
