my car loses all its oil within 3-4 weeks of driving and only 1000miles. its been doing this since i bought it two years ago so i add a few quarts every 2 weeks but the thing is its NOT LEAKING anywhere that i can see, from looking in the top and it doesnt seem to burning it! where would 4 quarts of oil go so quickly???? ive changed to 10w40 also doesnt help at all!!! im so sick and tired of having to check my oil level every week and finding that there is NONE!!! what do you guys suggest??? this is a bad problem. OH and also when im idle and sitting at a stop light my engine seems to jerk every 20-30 seconds or so like its gonna stall out or something i dunno its weird

Your headgasket might be blown. Get a compression and leakdown test done.

I figured another way to check if your head gasket's shot is to check the coolant under your radiator cap. If it looks like egg drop soup (ie, funky with yellowish shit swirled in it), you've got oil in your coolant most likely due to hg probs, and your probably "boiling" it out through your overflow tank like I've been. emoji blah...

check the oil pan & oil pan bolt. get under the car and try to see if oil is coming out of the intake manifold area.

I had a hole in my oil pan. If you drive over things (speedbumps)your oil pan is the first thing to hit.
