Well today i decided to replace my pcv valve witha break check valve (which is supposed to be stronger). well while in the process of replacing them the original vacuum line would not fit on one side of the check valve (the side that goes into the valve cover).
So I had to drive (carefully with no boost) to get a bigger vacuum line. well after everything was re-assambled, my car now hessitates badlyy when going into boost, my idle fuel pressure is a little above normal, it idles at higher rpms, and when I checked the engine there was like a grinding sound coming from the catch can.

Now the car does not smoke out the exaust and there is no smoke coming out the oil dip stick area. Could it be that the car just went into safe mode?? did not have time today to do a compression check.

Any ideas??

are you sure you put the check valve in the right way? It needs to be postitiond that it will let air go into the intake mani, but not back to the engine. It could be just reversed. If it was, then you would be creating a large boost leak right back into the engine, assuming you fully took out your pcv valve...

well after reseting the ECU the fuel pressure dropped to almost normal. but the car idles about 200 rpm higher than usual, and while stopping if I have the clutch in it will rev up to about 2- 2.5k rpm until I come to a complete stop. I have not driven her into boost today cus I did not want to get stranded on my way to work.
Any ideas anyone?

Check those vaccum connections, MAP, TPS, IAC...

It's possible that since you aren't entirely stock... emoji your ECU may still be learning, how much have you driven it since reset?

well it was reset last night on my way to work at the club.. but I have not driven her hard at all (since it started to do this yesterday).
I will check those lines, is just that that grinding/scraping noise is comming out of the breather on the catch can (so most likely out of the valve cover).
