My 96 Gs Idles at 2000 rpm and and rise to 3500 rpm every time I press the clutch pedal. I change the IAC motor but it did not fix the problem. I red that I should also go to a garage and get it reset. Anyone knows how to fix my problem? Thanks for answering.

it could be your TPS (although i don't think a fubar TPS will raise your idle THAT much), a HUGE vacuum leak, or probably a handful of other things that i can't think of off the top of my head right now.
EDIT: don't send it to a garage to get it reset. you can do it yourself for free, just unhook the battery for a minute or so, or unclip the two ECU wire bundles.

yeah... when my alternator belt fell off my idle jumped up to about 2500 rpm's, then when i was at a complete stop for more than 5 seconds or so it would go back down. good point.
