Im lost I have no clue where to turn. I have this stron wistle which I think may be a vaccume leak but dont know. I hit it get between five to about fifty five hundred rpm's and its terrible. Any Help??? I need it.

got a CAI? My short ram intake decides to whistle every now and then at certain RPMs. I think it sounds pretty cool.

has your CEL come on... sounds like your filter is an aftermarket one, or you have a leak on your intake piping/intake manifold... your throttle body gasket may be bad as well...

good luck... if you have a cel, refer to the main page and the key dance... if you cant do the dance, hit autozone up for a free code scan...

if you have someone get in your car and rev the engine, get out and listen for the noise. If you hear the whistle comming out of the exhaust, then you just have some leak on your pipe or something. mine whistles too.

Having Problems? Heres my Three step solution to anything 2gnt related.
Step 1: Put down everything in your hands.
Step 2: Grab a lucky strike, Smoke it.
Step 3: Walk to the fridge, double fist some keystone ice, sit down in the shade, drink one beer, finish cigarette, drink other beer, roll a joint, smoke it, walk back to your problem, and in about 5 minutes the solution will come to you.

Mine whistles too but at around 4500, I've heard at least 2 more 2gnt around my town whistle too. My guess is an exhaust leak somewhere. I like it, sounds like turbo to the untrained ear, so im not about to touch it.

If it was an exhaust leak, I would think that it would be alittle louder then a whistle. Exhaust leaks sound like a hole in the muffler! It's probably a vacuum leak or it could just be from your intake. Use some carb cleaner to find the leak.

my stocker exhuast whisteled so bad it also sounded turbo to the untrained eye. mine had no leaks but the stock diameter tubing it pea shooter and so it the tip.

my HKS cat back doesnt whistel like that.

i think its just the stock tiny ass exhuast.

My car also did it at first when I got my CAI.... Another kid I know had the same whistling problem... I cannot tell you what causes it but more than likely its nothing. Basically your car is sorta "whistling" you telling you it needs an exhaust upgrade . Think of you whistling, smaller hole pushing air through it. I may not be right but it makes sense.
