#44761, "Is this the same thing????"

Ok... I think I'm going to buy some parts fro a guy. A higher stall Torque converter, valve body kit, and the final drive gears.

Now my question is on the valve body. He says it is premade and straight from level ten, not a kit with springs, etc...

1) Would that be the same as this kit:
http://levelten.com/store/import/items/pts/ja113_3000_chryl_mitsu.htm

just pre-made on a valve body for a direct swap?

2) If so, will this quicken my shifts nicely? Or will it just strengthen the tranny WITHOUT providing improvement to shifting?

Thanks.

no thats the tranny rebuild kits, its probably closer to this

http://levelten.com/store/chry/chry_hydro.htm

and yes it will quicken up your shifts, its also a harder shift and much better on the tranny.

OK, cool, thats whati wanted to hear.

QUESTION 2:

How much can I expect to pay a shop to swap the level ten valve body in for my stock one (remember, it's a premade valve body, not a kit), a new TC, and the final drive gears. I am thinking about doing them all in one shot. Thanks.

valve body is easy, if its a good shop they wont charge you anything for that cause its basically just like a tranny filter change, maybe a little bit like 25-50 bucks or so
torque convertor prob 300 bucks to install
final drive gears 100 bucks

I really dont know thats just my guess
I put my final drive gears in in under 2 hours in my driveway (that included removing the whold front bumper,etc..

the valve body I would also put in myself as its easy to do.

I wouldnt pay more than like 500 bucks to install it all

how much are you paying for this valve body? I don't want to undercut anybody, but there are kits out there for around $20 that recalibrate your stock valve body. they may or may not be AS effective, but for the price, they are worth checking into IMO.
