#44595, "What could my oil leak be?"

Ok heres my situation. I go through about a quart or two of oil every 3 months. It doesn't leak too bad, but I don't want it to leak at all. I can see that I need to change the valve cover gasket, but I don't think that is the problem. The oil is dripping on my garage floor pretty close to directly under the intake filter. I'm about 99% sure that is isn't my head gasket, because I had my car dynoed one day, and I put down 123.XX at the wheels, so I am obvoisly not losing compression. Any ideas?

I'm thinking it's still the valve cover dood. I go through about that much oil in a MONTH and I've done the VC, the oil pan and am planning a head gasket replacement when I build the bottom come April.
The valve cover takes all of an hour to do, so it's worth replacing either way, imo emoji

Yeah the only thing is, if it IS the valve cover, how would it get all the way over to under the intake? Unless it is running down, and dripping from where the transmission meets the engine, since that is one of the lowest parts. It also seems like there is some coolant mixed in. I plan on changing the valve cover gasket, but I can't find one anywhere.

Not sure about the under the air filter part. Could be blow back from driving? The stock air intake is pretty far from the engine itself, I think, to have a leak under it, but you never know...
If you have a coolant leak anywhere, you might want to track that leak down at the same time. Watch for intermittent smoke out the exhaust from time to time in the drive thru or whatnot and also keep an eye on the coolant level. We just narrowed my leak to more than likely being the head gasket since my coolant overflow was bone dry and I get the smoke action once in a while.
Good Luck!
