OK, as you can see from my username, I'm not very educated on or into motors, but this summer that is my main goal, to get my car running good and strong. Right now it is bone stock except for some chroming and some dressup, and it has 120,000 miles on it! So I can only imagine how crappy it runs compared to all of your suped up cars. Here is the shopping list for this summer on engine stuff, let me know what you think about it and if it is a good descision or not.
Gude Head Package (Cam Shafts, Intake Manifold, etc.) AEM V2 Cold Air Intake Greddy Header Aftermarket Pulleys Aftermarket Cam Gears Maybe a Ignition System (MSD, Jacobs??)
Here are some questions that I have though. With all of those miles on it should I do anything to my lower half, I would rather keep it stock since aftermarket stuff is expensive, but they are probably real crappy. Wouldnt porting and polishing all of that old stuff make it sort of new again? Also, will I have fuel problems, for example will I need a aftermarket fuel pump or anything?
Thanks to anyone who is willing to help me or just give me a opinion.
