#44093, "Cold Air Intake and Final Drive Mod"

I live in SLC UT, the winters here are very cold. Ive heard its a bad idea to have cold air intake in bad weather. Would I be better off buying a short ram intake? Also I hear a lot of you guys talking about the Final Drive Mod. What is it, what does it do, and how hard is it to install? The only thing I know about it is that it can only be done on AT. Thanks

if u have snhow its a good idea to put for stock intake back on or remove the lower half of your cold air intake so snow doesn't clog the filter in the winter...

if u live in flood season might be an idea to leave it off for that season or be careful

the final drive mod is only done to AT's and it changes the gear ratio for the better =)

You can have it cheap, fast or good. Pick any two.

If you want it cheap and fast, it's not going to be good.
If you want it cheap and good, it's not going to be fast.
If you want it good and fast, it's not going to be cheap.

Expect better acceleration, and not so good gas mileage with the final drive mod. Get a CAI, because everybody will tell you it's a must when modding your car.
