I just called howell, and the guy said they are not sure if something similar will come out for the eclipse. I still find this hard to believe, wat is so special about that gives out to all this power?

have you seen the inside of your stock manifold, its got lots of casting flaws, flash protruding in areas that just disrupt air flow,etc..

Yeah, also the upper and lower section ports don't line up right - so there's an edge jutting out into the stream - causing flow disruption.

that was also on the front mounted intake for the neon, and they made a few different types, like one in plastic and on in aluminium. so its not our manifold that it was being compared to. but it is made by INDY. serious mopar people. the 45+hp is awesome, but unless your running a higher redline, whats the use? not to mention that car had AFX Long Tube, Iceman, Mopar Computer. so the intake REALLY responds to all that, and in turn all the other parts are flowing what they should. but the noticeable low end pure gain is nice, if i had bought a neon, thatd be my intake...imagine how well it flows with a turbo kit.....OMG.


can we put the DOHC neon front intake head on our block? man.....id be down with that.... neon mopar headers, that INDY intake.....man. anyone know?

Well i called and spoke to Gary today, he said he wasnt sure if they would do it. He told me to call Indy, so i did. The company is called Indy Heads and can be viewed at http://www.indyheads.com/ . I called and spoke to Scott, which i think is the guy in charge. He said they finished the mani for the DOHC neon guys, and he's working on the SOHC mani. I asked about us, and he said he knew the engines were similar, but he wasnt sure yet. He said call back in a few months whens he's done with the neon stuff. He said it would depend. I say who ever is seriously interested, to call so that he see's how much interest there is...the number is 317-862-3724.

OK i will call, but i seriously doubt it will be made. if he already knows that they are the same motor and hasnt made any plans yet, its doubtful that they will. SUCKS ASS HAVING A CAR THAT CHYRSLER AND MITSUBISHI DONT CLAIM, not enough aftermarket!!!! grrr damned poor ass NTers....poor ass talon owners....

well im callin tomorrow too, me and dirk both have 97 mt afx ecu's for eclipse/talon from howell. they are not listed on howell, u gotta call for them.

well yall know i got a spare intake upper and lower manifold, however i am getting tired of it sitting here, i am thinking of dropping it off tat extreme and having them extrude hone it, just a thought those, if these indy guys need a spare and would hook me up wwith the manifold when there done for givin them my spare then ill donate it for us 2gNT peep
