everyone on here has told me that anything over an hour is a ripoff, but i'm in NY and i've searched and called tons of places(most of them not even performance ripoff shops, just mechanics)and everyone has told me at least 2 hours. i'm about to get it done thurs b/c i just gave up. maybe it will turn out to be only 1 hour when they actually do the install, but idon't know. you guys whove got it done, is this what happened to you? do anyone get the same quotes but it ended up to be less, and where did you get it done? i'de do it myself but it's way too much trouble w/out a lift and puller.

it took us 3 hours, me and adel... so 2 hours is a good time. it's not hard just tedious work. getting the stock pulley off and putting on the afx was a biatch!

i heard one of the best tips is to heat the pulley in the oven to get it to go on.

I just got mine installed.....With the timing belt replacement. They charged me an hour's labour ($55) The entire bill was $629 for timing belt, waterpump, UDP, and tensioner. They also replaced the ball joints that were under recall. Not to bad in my opinion. And WOW did that make a difference in performance! The car even sounds better! Probably due to the t-belt.

Squirt a tiny amount of WD-40 on the side of the belt while its running, wait and see if it stops then try it again... My belts were squeekin also and my dad told me to squirt a little liquid-earl on it and it hasnt done it since.... I wouldnt go too crazy though...
