At first the car would only start every once and a while until it progressed to the next level of not starting at all. The only way I can start it is by jumping it or by pop-starting it. I thought it was battery. Now I have a brand new battery and still the same symptoms. My friend has a tester and he knows that the battery is good and the alternator is throwing out plenty of charge. Could my problem be in the solenoid? If so, what is a good way to test the solenoid? I played with a screwdriver and tried to ground it and make it turn the engine over. I got spark but the engine itslef remained lifeless. Any help would be much appreciated!!!!

First off...what do you drive?

Cam shaft sensor would be something I would look at if the car is not getting spark when turning over....have you checked anyting, besides the battery and alt? Are you getting fuel,spark?

Let us know I'm sure I or someone else can help you out..

If you are saying that the car won't TURN OVER with a good battery. then the first place that I would look is at your battery cables and connectors. if all of that checks out, I would be looking towards the starter.

but start with the cables.

If you can push start it or jump start it, then I would start by checking the starter wiring. Maybe clean both ends of the starter terminal, or replace the relays that relate to starting.
BTW: I have been trying to get in touch with you, any update on my seats?

Bill.......Your seats are on the way. I had to chop the hell out of that box to get them to take it. My friend stood me up and didn't take it to his work (UPS) so I had to lug it up there that night. THey only take something that is 130 inches, I ended up having 145. It's all good now though. Sorry its taking so long. Hey can I get your # again. My cell is messed up and I had your # saved in it but now I don't have it anymore. I REALLY want to do this summer plan. let me know...... How is your car going along.
