Yes, if you do it yourself and aren't having a shop do it, then have someone help you, and set aside a whole weekend to do it. When you first do a timing belt job at home, without a lift and such it will take a while since you never did it before and you want to make sure you don't mess anything up in the process.
If the car has enough miles to need a timing belt replacement, then the water pump should be replaced too.
