You could go to checker or autozone, like $20 there. I had one on, slowed the car down. People say it does slow the car down in actual tests but should not be noticeable, but I actually noticed it. Take my word from someone who actually drove with it. But yes, it does decrease the noise level by ALOT.

ill go back to kragen when i got time and tell them some of my club buds got it/saw it at kragen.. so Louvres resonators are not as free flowing as the cherry kind?

I'm not trying to be to technical here, but Cherry Bomb is a brand (just like Thrush) of glasspack mufflers. They are not resonators. Most muffler shops have resonators in stock at all times and can weld one on for in in lke 10 min. A resonator has tiny baffles bent toward the oncoming exhaust flow to bounce the air off each other or something like that and a glasspack is just a flowthrough muffler packed with fiberglass material. I don't know how glasspack would work on our cars (I got the resonator) but I know that they can get damaged over time using them with V8's.

In my opinion. Go with a resonator.
