On the Howell page under the ECU, it said that the race ECU would allow you to add aftermarket ignition without setting off the check-engine light. Does anyone out their have an ignition system (aftermarket), and if so does it set off the check-engine light? i plan on getting an MSD coil, MSD 8.5mm wires, and gapping my plugs out farther. Has anyone done this, did you feel a difference?

you should be fine. it should smooth out your engine a little without a CEL.
