Let's say that i was interested in building a crazy all motor setup. 12.5:1 Compression, Crane #0028 cams, Full port/polish/valve job... about a grand for the bottom end, another grand for the cams, and another grand for the head job (he,he,he)... My question is... I would want to go full standalone, right? Or would an SAFC be enough to control this setup? Any other thoughts?
**EDIT: In case it matters, i have a 1995 RS....

I seriously doubt an SAFC would be enough for a setup like that. The SAFC is quite the product, but it does have its limitations. It only adjusts the air/fuel delivery, and then only to a point. a setup that extensive will need spark/timing adjustment as well (at least!)
