I bought a powertech muffler some time ago, off of ebay. I know it isn't highly recommended to get your stuff of off ebay, but I've had no problems with this muffler.

It did provide a bit of a power gain, since the stock mufflers are horribly restrictive. How much exactly? no clue... I did it with other mods at the same time.

As far as cost effectiveness, go for it. If you're looking for a 300+hp machine in the end, go full catback.

In terms of sound.. I think it sounds great. NOTHING like a honda, but I think our engines are to thank for that. Its a low rumble, about as throaty as you're going to get. My main complaint with it is that it sticks out kinda far (maybe as much as 3 inches), but some custom piping work can take care of that. Sounds great though.

tuttle.

yeah, i've got the powertech also. nice low rumble, no raspiness at all. just make sure to replace the midpipe and maybe throw a cherry bomb in there, that would be some icing on the cake.

edit: I have a different one than the powertech pictured, mine looks more like an apex'i N1
