#43345, "Best fluids?"

Alright, I know this is a opinionated question, but I figured I'd give it a shot anyway.

I have a 1997 Talon with no mods whatsoever, and I've had it for 5 months/4000+ miles. Well, I've put it off but this week I wanna change all the fluids and possibly flush the radiator, and get my timing belt done soon since I'm gonna hit 60,000 in about 1500 miles.

My question is, what type of fluids do people use? I wanna swap pretty much everything, since the car was used and everything. So I'm looking at (and correct me if I'm wrong) oil, tranny fluid, brake fluid, radiator flush and fluid, and...that's all I can think of off the top of my head. I'll also change the oil and air filters, but I don't think I need a great deal of help with choosing those, but input is welcome there as well.

I'm the first to admit I'm no mechanic, first car and all, but I'm a quick learner and hoping to do so with this car. So, recommendations?

Thanks,
Corey

Oh yeah, and what about Mopar Combustion Chamber Cleaner? I was thinking of getting some, but the VFAQ page has it listed as a 1G/2G T FAQ...is it only for turboed cars (which doesn't really make since to me since turbo models have Mitsu blocks and not Mopar ones)? Thanks again.

there is also power steering fluid. but you don't need to change most of these, only the engine oil/filter, the coolant, and MAYBE the tranny fluid.

the brake fluid and powersteering fluid, just make sure they are topped off, and if they need more fluid, just add what's recommended in the manual.

Use Mobil 1 Oil, OEM Oil Filter, anything else is good for the other fluids. Sychroshift is good for tranny fluid and change your fuel filter. You may actually notice a difference when driving if you replace that.
