#43325, "Scared to drive my car......What do I do?"

My power steering belt started to squeak the other day when I turned the wheel all the way to one side. I look at it today, and it looks like there is coolant all over it. I look at the cooland tank, and it's EMPTY. Turns out, I've been driving like this for the last couple days. How can I get that tank out to see if there is a leak? Add this to my oil leak, now I'm really pissed off. I don't even want to drive my car, and I know I shouldn't. So what am I supposed to do now? I'm considering just taking it to satan. It will cost a shitload, but they will get it done. I need help!!!

are you talking about the plastic reservoir next to the belt? If so you can just pull that straight up off of it's mount. I had a leak in mine and I just patched it up as a temporary fix til I have the time to go to a junkyard and find a new(old) one. no use going to satan to fix something like that.

Ok, well I took out the tank, and there is NO hole in it. It was also bone dry. No coolant at all. Just a few drops in the hose. So now what am I supposed to do? Where is all my damn coolant? I took my car to an oil change place last time, because it was too damn cold to do it myself. Is it possible that they left something open, or what? I'm gettin pissed.

well 1st off, you shouldn't be too worried as long as if you're not overheating, then there's problems. what you should do is refill your coolant level back up, and open your radiator cap and refill let sit refill let it sit till it's topped off. look and see if there's any leakage on the hoses. drive it around and check if it's doing the samething.

Replace that stupid hose clamp on your upper radiator hose. Get one from Autozone that's a screwdown type. Then get a new radiator cap. That's what i had to do.
