um no pics after joining? eh?

You can have it cheap, fast or good. Pick any two.

If you want it cheap and fast, it's not going to be good.

Mike what are the technical details of your 2.4 engine ?
Are you the other one using the PT Cruiser turbo internals like the engine I'm building right now ?

To clear things up the motor is onebaddsm98's, im just helping him build it. The motor is a 98 2.4 block, PT turbo pistons and rods and a stock 2.0 head adn all new gaskets and bearings. All thats left to do is fab up an oil pan and figure out what we need to do to the mounts. And he needs to get a new clutch before we strrt to put it back together.
BTW there is no waste gate because its an NER kit (never came with one).

If I can find some spare times this week I should cut my oil pan
I'm using a 2001 Stratus oil pan, it's cast aluminium pan

One thing I'm considering more and more, once we remove the balancing shaft asssembly we have to plug the oil passage that was feeding the shafts so we won't loose oil pressure
I'm thinking of putting a fitting in that hole connected to a rail that gonna be just under the crankshaft without touching it of course
On that rail 4 oil squirters either from a mitsubishi 4g63 turbo engine or a VW turbo diesel engine would be installed to provide true oil cooling of the pistons

Question time
Did you swap the piston orientations on the pt cruiser turbo rods ?
Did you use the new copper-steel-copper or the older MLS headgasket ?

We did flip the rods before installation and as for the head gasket im not shure. He got an upper gasket set for the 2.0. All I know is its MLS dont know hich one though. The oil pan he might go with a local guy that will build one from scratch (water jet cut flange and all tig welded steel or aluminum). I think first we are going to put the motor in to check the clearances for the pan. We also have a cast aluminum pan and the damn thing is HUGE. The pan in steel will run in the $300-400 range for steel (canadian funds) and I can remember how much for aluminum.
