With the proper tools, yes. The proper set of bits, die grinder or dremel and a flex extension. But, it is also an art, you want to try and match the runners well to each other, it's not the easiest thing to get right.

i would recomend using a flex-hone bit if your gonna do it.

A dremmel with the proper bit and a flex extention is critical to doing this, but set aside ALOT of time! It takes forever to finish.

What bit would I need for my Dremel? How exactly do I do this? Is there a write-up anywhere about it? Could somebody just tell me how to do it? Is there anyone on here with a spare intake manifold, so I could port and polish it, and then replace the stock one with it? I could then send my stock one back, I just can't go without my car. Thanks.

I've got a specific question about doing this. There are bumps right behind the injector. I know these bumps are supposed to make the injector spray pattern "better". My question is, how much can I cut off of them? Can I get rid of them alltogether? Can I just shave a little off the top and make them much shorter? How much shorter/narrower should I make them? I'd be grateful if someone could post pics of a ported injector bump.

Personally on mine that I am doing currently, I am not going to even touch the area around the injectors. I don't want to chance screwing up the fuel pattern, so I am just slightly porting the rest and giving it a nice polish after......

NO U CANT! My best friend has done it for years so I know what the fuck i'm talking about. I welded when he ported and polished at the shop. Anyway, u have to have a very high rpm drill and special bits for that shit and u have to be skilled to do it, and the drill u'd use for it cant run of a standard house outlet, the 120 wont power it. Not just anyone can pick up a dremel and do it, i mean, you can but dont count on doing a good job, if anything it will just fuck it up. Why do u think it costs so much? Its cuz it takes skill and special tools/bits to do it. But dont listen to me, i'm just telling you what i know.....

Yes you can. It doesn't even cost that much - I think ARD will do it for like $80. It can be done with a dremmel. Port match the upper to lower intake sections. Flow the lower intake outlets.

And back to my specific question. Does anyone have any pics of ported fuel injector bumps. I'd like to know how much to remove.
