Ok, I'm having a little dilemma right now. I have had plans to go turbo for a while now, and have been saving up for it, but now I'm not so sure. I still want to go turbo eventually, but here's what I'm thinking....
1) New cams, and ECU when (if ever) it comes out for the 96. I would get all the parts for the head so I could use the 8,300 redline. Would the turbo cams do much for a n/t? Would I be able to live with these until I got my turbo?
2) Buy stuff to beef up my engine. I would get new pistons, and all that fun stuff, so I could crank up the boost once I put them in. I would then turbo my car, and when my engine needs repaired, I would put in the forget internals.
3) Go turbo, and start saving up for internals right away. I would get my turbo put on, keep the boost at 5-6 psi, and drive it like that for a while. In the meantime, I would save up for the internals, and eventually get the cams and ECU.
So what do you guys think? 1, 2, or 3? Any opinions are welcome, and will be greatley appreciated. Thanks. ---------------------------------------
