#42958, "question about clutch..."

ok months ago i (and my ex-step brother) installed my star stage 3 clutch...

i never gave thought to it but now it's bothering me.

the clutch pedal is verry soft and lets out right at the top

it's been like that ever since we installed it. this has concerned me since i had to drive my boy's crx w/CM stage V clutch that bitch is totally hard... and feels realy good...

is there anything i can do to make mine stiffer and engage lower to the floor?

thanks any info would be helpfull.

bleed your clutch and or install a stainless steel braided line from rre its only 20$

You can have it cheap, fast or good. Pick any two.

If you want it cheap and fast, it's not going to be good.

A stage V hmmmm? Why is your friend driving his car around w/ a track only "custom" clutch? The stage V from Clutch Masters has to be built just for you. You tell them what you want and they build it. It wouldn’t be considered a street clutch. Do you mean stage 4? The stage 4 is a lot more firm that the stage 3, different pressure plate loads and different disk material. The light pedal pressure is something they advertise. It is supposed to be lighter than say a stage 4 and better for street driving because it will allow more slip than the stage 4.

Bleed the hydraulic system, you may have air in their.

yea, i asked him again i thought he said stage 5 but it is a 4...

well compared to the 5 speed 95 rs my g/f is gonna get my get, my clutch feels like there's nothing there.

the other car's clutch is stiff, mine is verry looseit feels like the gas pedal maybe a bit stiffer.

would those lines do it? i just bled it but i may try it again...

and also how can i get it to engage lower to the floor? mine lets out at the top almost... i barely have to push the clutch in maybe an inch or to...

thanks
