Yeah taller gears would be better for fuel econ. and a higher top speed, but should lower your acceleration.
I wonder on the bellhousing how different they are. I know the linkage on the selector forks is slightly different in the way they hold the shift linkage. I wonder if they are any other pareciable differences...

I thought that the problem with the bellhousing itself was that the Neon uses a cable activated clutch, and ours is hydraulic. A simple swap of bellhousings should rectify this. -=B-=
Edit: might be a good time to install a LSD, or at the very least, a Phantom Grip. Might wanna safe the differential, too. hehe...

Geez, you guys ... I'm not made of money . It's only been back on the road for 2 weeks after the head and bottom end rebuild. No LSD at this time. I just can't afford it. New trans + rebuild/cryo treat/shot peen + lightened flywheel + stage 4 clutch = VERY BROKE me. I am welding the diff pin in place though so it can't cause any problems.

Not saying that you are made of money, but the brackets are 3-4 bux each, and you need 2. Here is a writeup on installing the brackets, as well as a phantom grip install vFAQ. Well written and very accurate. At least get the brackets, and if you can, get the pg unit. I hear that it makes a load of difference, especially once the price, under 300 bones, is taken into consideration. The Mopar part numbers for the brackets is included in the link.

I'm getting the diff pin welded in. The phantom grip isn't in my realm of possibilty at this point. I'm already looking at ~$1600+ for all the stuff I'm getting done. I'm just going to have wait for a while for the limited slip. Plus I still have some turbo pieces to get.

don't the I4 MTX cloud cars (stratus, cirrus, breeze) use the same tranny? and Breeze's only came with I4's.. so they are pretty easy to find.. except most are ATX's.
