My tranmission is going in my 96 GS. Third and fourth are grinding really bad. I have a friend of mine willing to rebuild it for me. I need to know what parts I need to buy for the rebuild. I'm also going to put a new clutch in while its out. If someone knows a place for cheep used trannys that would also work.

If anyone can help me to find the parts I'd be very thankful.

Bryan

Easier to just buy a used one than rebuild it. The third speed gear is on the output shaft, which isn't serviceable. if the third gear syncro ring gets eaten up, you might as well scrap the trans unless you own a trans shop, because the output shaft assembly is $1100+ new.

I would check the clutch hydraulics and the clutch before trashing the transmission.
Just me, though.
