Does anyone know how much power you would be making AFTER you take the A/C out?

Thanks

not worth it IMO and for where I live, I must have the AC for defrosting the windows in the winter or else I would be driving around looking like an idiot like the rest of the world who doesnt know to turn on the ac to remove interior fog/etc..

Who ston? emoji..

I'm up in Michigan.. it gets hella cold.. don't need it in the winter emoji, cuz my baby is garaged then emoji...

Anyways, I really don't need it in the summers, because if it gets too hot (100 degrees), I can always roll down the windows, and slide the power moonroof emoji..

Depends on how hot your climate is. If its bareable then you can do it i suppose. With the A/C off, the drag from the A/C compressor pulley can take away maybe a few HP, but thats it. Now with the A/C on and working, then thats a diff story. I'd have to guess it takes away around a good 15-20 HP. I kind of want to get rid of it to neaten up the engine bay and get some more room to work on it.

In Florida that would make my car undriveable emoji. I agree that with the AC off compared to not having one is probably a very minor difference. Ill keep mine and shut it off when I need the extra power.

Performance: Stuff that makes my car run better or go faster

Looks: Stock because looks doesnt make my car go faster or run better

Weight Reduction: CF Hood, No A/C or Powersteering Accessories, No rear interior

dude I took all that crap off...I took the compressor, and the fan off....yea I saw some big difference in acceleration...and I also pulled all the powersteering accessories out to and that helped too....I live in Indiana and it gets humid yea but I absolutely hate canned air...I like feeling the wind

Well im an absolute dipshit, I thought that you had to take out the p/s in order to take the ac out. I thought this because I lose my belt all the damn time when im racing durring the summer. I figured that they were a pair, if their not. Then screw my vote, I hate AC. Gotta love the sunroof up and the windows down...

You sit in a Talon with that black roof in gridlock on I-17 in Phoenix on a Monday afternoon in August when the ambient temp is about 120 and you watch as your cigarette lights itself and talk to me about losing the A/C for a quarter car length in a race and you're gonna get straight laughed at. emoji

A/C doesn't take any power away if it's not on. definatly leave it! if you need more power, just turn your A/C, i'd think you wouldn't be racing with it on anyway, so why ditch something that doesn't use up any power, unless you want it to.. doesn't make sense at all.

I'm not just talking about power here.. I am also talking about space. You would gain a good deal of space from ditching the A/C and all of its components.. just a though..

i want my car to be pretty comfy as well as look good and fast so i would never take my a/c out. i can see me picking up a girl and just telling her to sweat cuz i wanted a few more HP =). ive tried driving without p/s too because my belt broke, and thats something i hope i never have to do again, yuck!

Living in TX in the summer, you NEED A/C. Even in the winter you need it. I would rather go with a little loss of horsepower than to be without it. That's just my $0.02.

I removed my ac for now... probably wish i would have left it for the hot days in summer(indiana isnt too bad), but i got all the shit in a box still, btw, i removed everything AC, not just the compressor. I drive w/ the windows down anyways... if you do remove it, keep the system for a year or 2 just to make sure you didnt fxck yourself

:thumbsup

What A/C is right I'm in Fla. mines their but not belt on it cuz even if the belt is their but A/C is off your still useing power to turn what your not useing. Plus I keep busting mine and I'm sick of puting a new one on so I left that sheet off. I love it I got more power out of that then my header, and got no power steering too not that I had that option to keep it when its the same belt lol, oh well
