The partts for my head gasket are starting to come in.

The cam gears showed up today, Fidanzas. I am surprised they seem lighter than stock and lighter than I thought they would be, I'm pleasantly surprised.

I got the fidanza gears myself, they seem to be of pretty good quality, anyways, i see that your setup is similar to mine, what settings are you planning on running? i'm looking at doing a +2 intake, 0 exhaust, i was going to go +4, 0 but i factored in the cams adding a larger amount of air in and didn't want to over do it

better then aem on the mounting but no the cam pin fitament , crane on the other hand is better then aem and so is the new crower cam gears...

id say Crane/UR/Crower -- best of course!

AEM/ fidanza 2nd

obx third, and the r1 gears

You can have it cheap, fast or good. Pick any two.

If you want it cheap and fast, it's not going to be good.

I say they are better than AEM, I just don't trust 3 bolts. And yes they look to be of good quality I am not worried about them at all.

I paid $230 got them from Howell. I actually may retard my intake came to reduce a little overlap until I get my exhaust flowing better. It really isn't keeping up now so I don't want more overlap. So it's either stock settings for the moment or retard a couple on the intake.

Of course this all being after I compensate for the thinner headgasket and possible milling, depending on what the head looks like.

fidanza and crane are manufactured together, BUT crane have a MUCH higher tolerance rating for the way it is machined it has to pass much higher standards

crower is crower dont need to say anything about it...

aems old bolts sucked anus, the new bolts are good they are still off by one notch i think,

crane and fidanza use 5 bolt design
so does crower

the order in quality is this
Crower
Crane
fidanza aem
OBX/ R1 racing and all other off breeds down here

cranes for the price are the best bang for buc for quality,
fidanzas cam gear tolerances are not that tight people have had up to 6 degrees of slop on the cam pin

this better bill? *smacks u witha stinky trout
*tosses at babyb afterwards

You can have it cheap, fast or good. Pick any two.

If you want it cheap and fast, it's not going to be good.
