#41849, "How much air goes into one cylinder during intake stroke (estimates please)"
I know this depends on a LOT of factors. But lets say its a NA motor, idling at 1000 RPM. The volume of 1 cylinder is .5L, but this isn't how much volume of air will actually be in there (at 1 ATM), because the intake stroke is working on a vacuum. What will the volume of air be in that cylinder, if you standardized that mass of air to 1ATM (I'm looking at PV=NRT)
What is the volume of the intake stroke at 2K, 3K, 4K, 5K, etc... on light throttle. WOT would of course have more mass coming in at the intake stroke, b/c the throttle body being completely open would cause less vacuum (sounds rational at this point)
Thanks guys, this is helping me to understand the theory behind fuel requirements before I go turbo (which will happen if I get this good job Saturday!)

Thanks smoke honda, that link had a kickass a/f chart on it.
Danny, thanks for the luck. I just interviewed for a cryogenics jobs today, and they basically said I'm in if I want it. But the interview tomorrow I feel very good about too- and it pays very well so I need that for my med school debt. They'll also give me a company car so I'll be able to crazy mod the 'clipse. Dood I will DEFINATELY need help with my kit - so you're on the team! I want to go all out though: hopefully AFX will have the 3L aluminum block by the time I get ready, I want forged pistons but keep the compression at this level (some have done this safely), get the titanium connecting rods made for the neon guys, and stage the fuel system. then drive over to santa monica and eat some ferraris! mmmm...titanium rods.... droool
