has anyone tried these? ive seen a lot going for $35-$50 and they are full kits. ive already bought quite a few things on ebay like a muffler for $50 and have been more than pleased with those purchases. but i dont know about this if theres a catch or something.

Well as long as it's a reputable seller (high feedbacks) I say go for it. I have an AEM cai myself but any intake will perform just as well as a PVC pipe mod found in the mods section on the main page. The idea is to suck in cooler air from outside, so it will do the same things. However, if you buy the high dollar icemans or AEM ones they perform and last better, as they are made of different plastics and such....but you get the idea. You may have a little more gains in either of those brands, but maybe within 1 or 2 hp at most/least.

I had one but upgraded to aem because the bracket tore off and i had to ghetto rig the pipe to keep it from dragging on the ground. It was fine until that happened tho.

tnx for the input. i guess ill try one. for the money it doesnt hurt to atleast try it. ive just been having luck with 'knockoff' items and have had them be even better than name brands in the past. people will always be like 'wow how much did you pay for that' and i love replying 'about 1/3 what you paid for yours'. =P. but the price might come back to bite me in the ass i guess. my muffler hasnt broke yet tho =).

I have one on my car and it was definitely worth it. I drive pretty consistently at the track and my quarter mile times dropped 2/10ths of a second.

I got mine for 30 also, came with everything needed to install and bracket it. Greatly improved the sound of the car, while adding more power too. There was a noticable positive increase on power. I have no regrets on them, many people thought I had an exhaust on my car too lol.
